Minister Allen to speak July 27th for Missionary Day program

Minister Talisa Allen will be the speaker¬†Sunday, July 27th, ¬†for Missionary Day, sponsored by the senior missionaries of Shady Grove Baptist Church. The theme for the occasion is “Missionaries: Workers on a Mission.”

The public is invited to attend.

Deaconess Dorothy Manning is president. The Rev. Lee Byers, Jr., is pastor.

Biography

Minister Allen is married to Elder Donnie Allen and they have one beautiful daughter, Kellie Donae. She is the daughter of Deacon James Henry and Deaconess Novella Kelly and is the oldest of three daughters.

She is an Associate Minister at Greater Hope Ministries, Gaffney, SC., where she serves under the leadership of Pastor Caroline Allen Jones. She is the Advisor of the Dance Ministry and a member of The Sanctuary Choir.

She is a 1986 graduate of Gaffney High School and a 2012 graduate of N.J. Brockman School of Religion.

She is employed with Cherokee County Department of Social Services.

She loves the Lord with all of her heart, mind and soul. She stands firmly believing and trusting in God’s word. She knows that His word is the only thing that will stand when everything else fails. She believes in blessing the Lord at all times, in the good and the bad. If you praise and worship Him sincerely, He will work things out for you.

Her favorite scripture is Psalm 34:1

“I will bless the Lord at all times and His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

    I am so sorry that I was away on a church trip to Washington, DC and missed Minister Allen. I know she was awesome. I have known her for many years and her husband.
