Shady Grove Baptist Church recognized its veterans during morning worship Nov. 8th to show appreciation for dedicated and loyal service to the United States of America. Each veteran received a flag pin engraved with their name and a small United States flag.
Deacon Lucious Jones read a “Proclamation of Appreciation” thanking them for the sacrifices they have made and for veterans and their families everywhere who continue to fight to keep our country free.

Nov. 11th of each year is the day designated to let veterans know that Americans deeply appreciate their commitment and bravery. This year, Americans are asked to burn a green light bulb on their porches, windows, and wherever they desire, to let veterans and their families know that we remember and appreciate their service to our country.
