  • The Shady Grove Baptist Church Gospel Choir will celebrate its 45th anniversary with Sunday morning worship service at 11 a.m. on Nov. 15. The guest speaker for this service will be the Rev. Dewey Whittenburg, associate minister of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church.
  • Shady Grove Baptist Church will have its annual Senior Citizens Day service on Sunday, Nov. 22, during the 11 a.m. morning worship service.  The Rev. Dr. Albert Gray will be the speaker. A ‘Soup Luncheon’ will follow immediately after the morning worship in the Rev. L. C. Knuckles Family Life Center. Everyone is asked to bring a pot of their favorite soup, cornbread, and/or crackers. Sister Dorothy Manning is the Senior Missionary President.
  • The Shady Grove Usher Ministry will have its annual program on Sunday Nov. 29th during the 11:00 morning worship service. Sister Geneva Palmer will be the guest speaker. She is the president of the Thickety Mountain Baptist Association Usher Auxiliary. She is also a member of Mikes Creek Baptist Church of Gaffney. Sister Deborah Littlejohn is president of the Shady Grove Usher Auxiliary.
  • Shady Grove Baptist Church honors veterans

    Veterans honored, November 2015

    Shady Grove Baptist Church recognized its veterans during morning worship Nov. 8th to show appreciation for dedicated and loyal service to the United States of America.  Each veteran received a flag pin engraved with their name and a small United States flag.

    Deacon Lucious Jones read a “Proclamation of Appreciation” thanking them for the sacrifices they have made and for veterans and their families everywhere who continue to fight to keep our country free.

    MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

    Nov. 11th of each year is the day designated to let veterans know that Americans deeply appreciate their commitment and bravery. This year, Americans are asked to burn a green light bulb on their porches, windows, and wherever they desire, to let veterans and their families know that we remember and appreciate their service to our country.
